It's at times like this that I wish I had a spare thousand dollars to just spend on having a good time. It's hard seeing such fab deals and not being able to afford them. Since hubby's hours were cut at work I have accepted that I need to get used to the fact that it's just going to keep getting harder for a while. BUT he still has a job when many don't and for that I am thankful. :) Just feeling a little sorry for myself today and that life's a constant uphill struggle. Ignore me.
You're amongst friends, Kay. You know you can always vent with us. :) I would love to be able to do this too. When it comes down to it though I'd prefer knowing my husband still had a job and miss the vacation. There will be other times in the future you can do that. :)
I couldn't afford that. For individual flights, I was reading that the cheapest time to buy a flight is eight weeks before you travel. This is the article.
Thanks Splash. Usually when I fly I'm picking up last minute bargains and rarely book well ahead like that. I should watch one and compare its eight week price to its clearance price.

That would be great if you had the time and money to take advantage of the deal. It would be an excellent to city hop and see the country.
The only reason a great many American families don't own an elephant is that they have never been offered an elephant for a dollar down and easy weekly payments. - Mad Magazine.
