I'm sure I pay too much online for things because I'm not the most patient of people. I hate checking site after site for the same item and normally buy it at the first place that has it in stock that comes into my head. Are there any independent price comparison sites? I'm talking about household goods rather than services.
Greenmachine, there's a list of some different ones at this site. Hope you find something in that lot to help. :)
How to Compare Product Prices, Reviews and Specs
Thanks cheapncheerful and Kay. That's a pile of food for thought in those links. Cheapncheerful, I'll be looking locally first now. Shipping can make a big difference between a good deal and a rubbish one.
The only one I know is http://www.pricegrabber.com/. At the bottom of the homepage it says they are an Experian companyy. I think that makes them trustworthy. This is from the About Us page.

One I saw talked about was Yokel. Is it local prices you want, greenmachine? You can look online locally with that site. You'd not have to pay shipping costs if you go get the item.
