This is a slim wall mounted convection heater which I know you'll say isn't a new thing but listen to this. It says on the site that one heater can heat a room up to 120 square feet using less than 30% of the energy what other types do. I thought "yeah, let's see how much you cost then," expecting it to be about $500 or something ridiculous like that. I was surprised it was under $120 at the dealer I checked.

Your ECO-heater is designed as an alternative to conventional space heaters and other systems that use large amounts of electricity. It operates using the same electricity as 4 100 watt light bulbs, while heating an entire room.

That's one cheap heater to run. Their FAQ says that works out at about three and a half cents an hour. Please take a look at their site and see if there's any obvious downside I didn't spot.

I can't see anything that would make me think twice about it. We bought a ceramic heater for our back bedroom when the weather turned wintry and it was seventy-odd bucks. I wish now I'd known about this. It's probably cheaper to run that one but whether the saving would justify spending an additional fifty bucks I don't know. We'll see when our first electricity bill comes in how much it costs. We got it just a few days before our last one arrived which didn't reflect it. I'm waiting with fingers crossed it won't be too high. I'll know anyday now.

That looks very sleek too as well as energy efficient. You can even paint them the site said. I've got C/H which isn't too bad over winter. I don't grudge the heating money as much as some other utilities because I can't stand being cold. One big benefit of that heater is it doesn't dry the air either. That's part of winter I don't enjoy.  When the indoor air's as dry as a bone my hair ends up looking like I stuck a finger in a wall socket.

greenmachine do you suffer from any allergies or does any of the family suffer? I noticed it said that it was better for people that had allergies because there's no fan to send dust flying everywhere. I was impressed with the specs and the price.

I love this product.  It really is useful and efficient for any home.  And you really can paint over them! I painted mine blue since the colors of my wall is blue so it looks so unnoticeable in my room.  This heater works so well like magic! It really does save energy. I remembering receiving my heating bills the other day and the cost of my heating bill went down by 50 dollars! No kidding. Go buy it and try it out for yourself.
