Who can afford Starbucks? Bigbucks more like.Take a crowd in and you're talking serious money for coffee and cake. We got stung with the check one time at a family outing where my sister-in-law thought a latte was a great idea and everyone agreed. We could have all sat down to an all-you-can-eat buffet for what it cost.

frazzledmom, that was rotten! The bill should have been split between every family member. I have a young relative that always heading for the bathroom when the waiter starts coming to the table with the bill. He promises he'll settle up later and never does.

LOL, every group of people I go out with has one person like that who tries to avoid the bill. I'd stay in if I couldn't afford it and not embarrass myself. Thanks Kay for the book! :) Coffee freebies of any kind are right up my alley.

I never need an excuse to drink more coffee LOL. Thanks, Kay. I love an iced coffee when the weather's sweltering hot. This will do nicely as a compromise between going without or going to Starbucks.
