It doesn't bother me to register for sites that give away freebies. :) Thank you, greenmachine! After tomorrow I need to start planning for the Christmas dinner and could use fresh ideas.

Thank you greemachine! I'm always watching for a new recipe. I get bored really easily with food and holiday fare ends up being the same old thing.

Those mini quiches and thai peanut ginger wings are my kind of thing! I love finger food and snacking around. Thanks greenmachine. I guess I better stock up on the Carnation before this arrives. :)

You're all welcome. :) I would like a change too. If I have to look at the same old vegetables at Christmas again I'll scream. My problem is my crowd are very traditional and look at new dishes like there are aliens at the table. :)

Turkey & Cranberry Encore Salad. Be still my heart LOL. I could eat turkey all year long and cranberry. Thank you greenmachine. That's a keeper!

Re: Holiday Recipe Guide from Carnation

We hardly had a bite of turkey left over this Thanksgiving by day three and that's unheard of. I tried to buy one that wouldn't leave so many leftovers and discovered I missed having them LOL. Back to a bigger one next year. Thanks greenmachine. :)

We're having turkey for Christmas Day again, frazzledmom. It was down to 40 cents a pound when I got the Thanksgiving one so I picked up two at that price. I didn't see any hams at good prices this year. The stores have been Scrooges over the foodstuffs. I'm very glad I got that and kept it! It would be silly to pay full price for a ham when that was sitting in the freezer.

Wish I'd thought ahead and done the same!  That was an excellent idea, bringmeroses. We prefer turkey anyway and twice would have been fine.

We paid $17 for a ham and there's only three to feed unless family drops in unannounced. I didn't find hams on sale this year and it broke my heart to pay that LOL. But I'm getting a pot of soup out of the bone. :)

Make enough stock and you'll get a pot of beans out of that as well. Yum! You can't get that good a flavor out of a can.

We had ham as well and the only ones that are going to get the bone will be the dogs. They wait all year for that treat. I know it's not good for them to get them too often.
