Re: How to destroy a credit card securely
ATMs must have changed then. My sister worked in a bank and she said that the cards will drop into a box inside the ATM for staff to retrieve and then destroy them by putting them through a shredder.

One time i accidentally used my expired credit card in the ATM machine and the machine chewed it up.
Was concerned about the security issue so asked the guy at the counter and he confirmed that the ATM machine actually shreds it up there and then.
