I liked this article from Money Saving Mom. My biggest problem with coupons is that I get them into a mess. When she talks about the gal who spends ages organizing them and then is totally overwhelmed, that's like me!
You hear me say this a lot. But I think it bears repeating: please take baby steps when you start couponing. Do not go buy 10 newspapers, get a big honkin’ coupon box, and spend 5 hours clipping coupons when you’ve never used coupons in your life. You’ll overwhelm yourself, take an enormous amount of time and probably end up exhausted and burnt out — before you’ve even saved a penny on your groceries!

Me too, pennywise. I get all fired up about using them then fizzle out because I can't keep on top of them all. Thanks for showing me the error of my ways, cheapncheerful! :)
Good post! I'm so jealous of all these moms that have this down to a fine art. It takes me all my time to remember to pick up the Sunday paper, never mind sort the coupons out.

She knows me so well LOL. That's the very reason why I try coupons for a little while then give up. It never was worth the effort. I saved but not enough to justify all those hours. I've been going about it all wrong obviously. Thank you!
