That would be a great gift! We were thinking about getting couples gifts instead of individual ones for each adult. Something like that would be a good buy for that.

Couples gifts don't work IMHO. It becomes a gift that only one half of the couple wanted and a household one at that. We got the ugliest lamp in existence via a round of couples gifts one year. It was nothing like my taste. That idea was never repeated in my family.

I would like a couples gift if I could get to choose the gift. I'd rather have something that was a $20 gift than two $10 gifts. But I wouldn't want that lamp scenario happening. That's an even bigger waste than a small individual gift you put in the closet for the next yard sale.

Thanks Kay! I sent that to my brother. He's been talking about getting one for ages and always wants to get as much for his money as possible. He's one of those guys that likes to pore over review after review and read the specs with a magnifying glass for months before deciding. I don't think he'll be able to find fault with that!
