Best wishes to everyone for a joyous Christmas and a Happy New Year. Let's hope it's a prosperous 2009 for us all! Do tell us what you've all been up to on the big day. :)
That sounds like a very relaxing day! I've got a pot of turkey soup made that smells heavenly and I'm munching on leftover dressing and cranberry sauce right now. We ended up having small versions of both ham and turkey (8 lb each) to keep everyone happy instead of one enormous main dish.
The flu hit us here on Christmas Eve which made Christmas not so merry as it could have been. We decked the halls with boughs of tissues and cough medicine LOL. The day was on the half hearted side but we'll make up for it later once we're all over this. A belated Happy Holidays from me!
What a shame, cheapncheerful! There's a lot of it going around. Nearly all my sister's family are down with a kind of stomach virus this week. I hope you're all over the worst of it now.
We have a family get together arranged for New Years Day and decided twice in one week was too close for us all to do it twice LOL. My parents went to my younger sister's and I had my own clan. We ate, drank and were merry just like you're supposed to be. :) Sorry to hear you were sick, cheapncheerful.

We ate and ate and ate. Then we dozed off, woke up and did it all over again! :) I wasn't picky in the least about what we had and everything was lovely. We stuck with the traditional turkey and dressing and enjoyed every bite.
