These do seem to come in a quite a good price tag compared to buying a brand new one. Are they worth the saving? I saw Fred's advertising vacuums that were refurbished. They did come with a guarantee and they get refurbished at the factory. I guess that means all the parts would be the right kind and not something that's thrown together. I think the guarantee was six months. Have you bought an appliance that was refurbished?

Hiya. No I haven't myself but I know you can buy them online like that too. I think they replace all the major parts that go wrong which makes it not that far away from being like a new one. You can get smaller products like coffee makers but it's the high end price range ones that get refurbished. It's probably not worth their while to do it with cheap ones.

I like the thought of saving on the price at the outset but not if it's going to cost me more later. Why don't they give a guarantee that's the same as a new one if they've replaced all the parts that go wrong; like frazzledmom says? I'm not 100% convinced about the quality and that's why I've not bought one.
