I remember watching this show and it was fantastic. The 30th anniversary! Time flies. This was $59.99 and is now $16.99 plus shipping.
Based on Alex Haley's best-selling novel about his African ancestors, Roots followed several generations in the lives of a slave family. The saga began with Kunta Kinte (LeVar Burton), a West African youth captured by slave raiders and shipped to America in the 1700s. The family's saga is depicted up until the Civil War where Kunte Kinte's grandson gained emancipation. Roots made its greatest impression on the ratings and widespread popularity it garnered. On average, 130 million - almost half the country at the time - saw all or part of the series.

OJ was in that. I remember now that you mention it, bringmeroses. That was a great series. If any of you haven't seen it, that is definitely worth buying at such a bargain. Even with the shipping it's under $20.

I can vaguely remember that show but I never followed it. I think my brother would like that. He enjoys big sagas. Thanks greenmachine!

The price has went up. Only by a little bit though. It's now $18.12 plus $2.99 shipping. I double checked the free shipping day site to see if buy.com was taking part. They aren't listed.

Wasn't OJ Simpson in that series? I could be wrong of course. What a great buy! I can remember all the fuss about the show when it was first out too.
