Many places offer discounts to those over 55, or 60, or 62, or 65, or...here is one of the better deals.
A Lifetime Senior Pass costs only $10 (regular price: $80 annually). Amazingly, this $10 deal buys a lifetime of natural enjoyment for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
The pass grants access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites charging an Entrance or Standard Amenity fee. The pass admits the pass holder plus 3 adults to Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity fee (Children under 16 are admitted free). The America the Beautiful Senior Pass also provides a 50% discount (to the pass holder only) on some "Expanded Amenity Fees," such as camping, swimming, boat launch, and specialized interpretive services.
And a few others...
- Ace Hardware typically offers a 10% discount to people 55 years of age and older.
- Home Depot offers AARP members a 4% discount on gift cards purchased through the AARP web site.
- KB Toys Grandparent's Reward Program for ages 50+ get 10% off their entire purchase on Tuesdays.
- Hollywood Video offers those age 60+ a 10% discount on rentals and purchases everyday.
- Kohls Stores offer a 15% discount to those ages 62+ one day a week.
- Goodwill Stores generally offer a 10% (over 60 years old) senior discount one day of the week.
- Supercuts salons offer $2 off a haircut for clients 60+.

You're a mine of information micharch, truly. I'll share that with family. You could combine the Senior pass with the cheap flights and have a nice but economical vacation. There must be hotels that give senior discounts too. Thanks! :)
