This may be the only chance for most billeaters to get a Super Bowl ring. Of course, you could actually play in the SB and win the darn thing. There's that chance. Just sayin'...
The Saints announced a Super Bowl Ring Raffle which they hope will raise $1 million dollars that will be donated to the oil spill environmental clean-up.
Each ticket cost $2 dollars but there is a $10 minimum purchase.

I'd have more chance getting one by purplerain's method than by playing, micharch LOL. It would be nice to own part of sporting history.
You'd think they would have mentioned where to buy the ticket in the article! It's in the comments.
Winner will receive a cash prize in the amount of $2,178.00 to mitigate the Winner's tax liability that results from winning the raffle. This prize is withheld and paid, on behalf of the Winner, directly to the IRS ($1,800.00) and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts ($378.00)
Holy heck, are those rings worth that much that your tax liability is over $2K? I might have to play in the SB after all. ;)
Is this definitely genuine? Because the link in the comments redirected to another site.
I'm 99% sure it's genuine, bringmeroses. I saw that was at USAToday too. It's about halfway down the page.

The thought occurs to me that if this effort does raise a million bucks for the folks along the Gulf coast, does that mean the bp has to pony-up $1million less?

I was thinking I could mug one of the players for theirs too. That's a cool way to help with the clean-up! :)
