Seriously! This isn't a joke. A new study reported in Scientific American has the details.

Earlier work has shown that genetics plays a role in how we handle money. But a recent study was the first to show that a particular gene affects financial behavior outside the lab.

I've always wanted an excuse for my irrational spending. Thanks! LOL. I'll call my mom and tell her it's all her fault. :) We're both real impulse buyers.

It is nature or nurture though Splash? If you see your mom doing that, you'd learn from her as you were growing up. It could be that it's not genetic and more to do with lifestyle.
