The MSN groups pages, used by thousands to host their message boards and forums, are scheduled to shut down in February of 2009. It appears that Microsoft have decided to shut down the popular service in favor of sending it's customers to a partner at multiply.com. While they are providing an import tool to move people from MSN to multiply, the services are very different.
No surprise, of course, that many of the people running message boards at MSN groups are unhappy, and have no plans to move to multiply.
We'd like to invite any of the frugal, coupon, or money-saving groups to find their home here at our billeater.com forums. It takes just a moment to register, and we're committed to making it a great place to move your frugal, coupon, or money-saving forum. In fact, we've added several features recently in response to requests from our forum users.
If billeater.com isn't a great fit for your group, here's a few other large, free, public message board services:
Good luck on the move of your MSN group!
