Installing a rain sensor in your sprinkler system will save hundreds or thousands of gallons of water when it's raining outside. For example, if your system irrigates half an acre and is set to apply half an inch of water per cycle, you are using over 6000 gallons each cycle...
So, each time the rain sensor helps you avoid an unnecessary watering, you could save $10-$60. Since rain sensors typically cost $25 to $50 plus $100 for installation, that means it could pay for itself within a year, and potentially much sooner.
We have a good selection of these sensors in our gadgets area.
