Okay, sounds funny, right? Saving money for college by purchasing groceries, dining out, shopping at department stores? Does sound funny, but it's true. There's a free service called Upromise that will save a portion of the money (up to 8%) you spend on these things aside for you. They have a ton of partners, including:
- 600 online stores ( target.com, apple.com, sears.com, homedepot.com, etc)
- 8000+ restaurants ( fast food to five star restaurants )
- 21,000+ grocery and drugstores
How It Works:
- Join Upromise. It's free. Register your grocery loyalty cards, credit cards, and other basic information that allows them to track your eligible spending
- Shop for the participating products and services.
- They will save a portion of your qualified spending for college automatically in your Upromise account.
More information is available at the Upromise website.
